It’s been a super productive month and a half for us, and we’re proud to share a few exciting updates! Let’s jump right into it.🤗

We’re so excited to be part of the Tales as Dark as Time anthology with our novelette, A Bargain for Love! We absolutely loved writing Mel and Marrok’s story, and we hope everyone who reads it falls in love with them too.

We won’t have the rights back from the wonderful Jane Rose, who made this anthology possible, until September, so we’ll have to wait a little longer before we can publish A Bargain for Love as a standalone. In the meantime, we have some exciting news to share! We’re planning a Kickstarter campaign for A Bargain for Love, and we’re already working with an incredible artist on a special edition cover. We can’t wait to show you more when the time comes!

✨ When the Tide Crests ✨

When the Tide Crests will be Book 2 in The Fianna Fáil Chronicles! After leaving you all on that cliffhanger at the end of When the Raven Soars, some of you may have already guessed that WTTC will follow our next couple, Maeve and Lorcan. This time, though, Maeve will have to leave the comfort of Eldermoore behind as we head to the sea for the Trial of Lir. 🌊🏴‍☠️

In our last newsletter, we mentioned diving back into WTTC to make it an even stronger story, and we’re happy to share that we’re already about one-third of the way through the draft—around 23,000 words! Our goal is to have it ready for the Tales as Dark as Time event on July 25. If we aren’t able to have physical books printed in time, we’re hoping to at least have ARCs and ebooks available.

While we’ve been hard at work writing, we also commissioned an incredible artist to illustrate a scene we envisioned all the way back in the planning stages. Today, we’re so excited to share a little sneak peek of Maeve’s line art!

The past couple of weeks have brought a few unexpected setbacks between power outages, plumbing issues, air conditioning problems, and job hunting. It’s definitely been a lot, but we’re hoping things turn around soon!

On the bright side, surviving the heatwave without air conditioning has inspired some pretty great additions to future chapters. 🤣 Sometimes the best writing ideas come from the most uncomfortable situations!

While the demons and coven prepare for the upcoming conflict with the help of the band’s fan club, Dio travels back to the old city to attempt to rescue the woman he loves.

Infiltrating the angel’s stronghold would already be fraught with peril, but to make matters worse, the angels are using the magic of Chaosta’s wings to control her. Will she be able to see through the control the angels have over her, or will she believe Dio to be a threat instead of the man she loves?

Will the demons and their makeshift army, whom they formed via a newsletter, be strong enough to stand up to the brightness? Will they all finally be able to return the world to balance?
